Is Your Child Struggling With Reading or Writing?

Plenty of bright, hardworking students still struggle with reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, and organization. That doesn't mean they aren't capable. It usually means something is getting in the way.

For multilingual learners, it's the work of adjusting to English-language instruction.

For students with dyslexia, ADHD, or other learning differences, it's a school system built for the average student and not for theirs.

I provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring, remote or in-person in Houston, for middle school and high school students.

Adult learners welcome, too!

Ted Conway
Houston English Tutor

For over a decade, I’ve worked with students whose strengths are not always reflected in their writing, reading, or spoken English.

My sessions focus on clear writing, strong reading skills, and long-term independence. I often work with multilingual learners and students who benefit from structured, step-by-step support.

I primarily work with students remotely, which allows me to provide English tutoring for learners in Houston and across the U.S. For families who need in-person sessions, Houston-area availability may be possible—please reach out to discuss options.

Families choose Conway Learning because they need personalized English tutoring and academic support. School and homeschool curriculums often treat all students the same, leaving many students in the dark or falling behind.

Ted Conway brings more than a decade of educational experience, a BA in Professional Writing, an MFA in Screenwriting, ESL expertise, and extensive experience supporting students with diverse learning needs. Sessions are designed to build skills, confidence, and independence.
